Miami, Meet Your Newest Cupcake Obsession

Miami: Your first-ever cupcake and cake-decorating studio is here.

PREPARE YOURSELF FOR CUTENESS OVERLOAD.

Bunnie Cakes, the bakery behind my favorite vegan cupcakes, just whipped up Bunnie Cakes Studio in the Edgewater ‘hood. The 2,000 square-foot warehouse nestled behind Bunnie Cakes’ store serves up cupcake and cake decorating packages, piñatas and décor crafting parties, rental space for events, and classes and workshops for local chefs and bakers. Adorable, right?

RIGHT-O.

“People can come in, choose the cupcakes or cake they like, then get everything they need to decorate it the way they want,” Bunnie Cakes Owner Mariana Cortez says. The idea is to let guests’ creative flags fly high — one colorful, sugary sprinkle at a time.

And it’s not only for kids. “Adults can come in, sit down, and have a coffee while they decorate a cake and have a good time. We provide all the tools and tutorial instructions so guests can let their inspiration take over,” Cortez adds. From bachelorette parties to baby showers to holiday soirees — the studio welcomes all.

Did I mention these toothsome treats are vegan (free of animal products) and taste so good? Like, crazy delicious. Yep, Cortez got into the vegan cupcake game when her son Luke faced food allergy issues. After opening shop, Cortez even landed herself a spot on Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars,” and snagged “Miami’s Best Cupcake 2016” honors from the Miami New Times.

From scrumptious vanilla, chocolate, coconut, red velvet, orange, carrot, chocolate chip flavors and more, Bunnie Cakes reigns as every vegan-loving cupcake lovers’ go-to spot in the 305.

Sweet stuff, indeed.
