It’s Been a Helluva Week

 

Trump‘s improbable victory. Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian birthing a baby girl and NOT NAMING HER KIM (WTF, man!). Social Media meltdowns. I think we can all agree it’s been a helluva week. And while it feels as though everyone’s on the verge of throwing themselves into oncoming traffic to deal, well, I’m trying to remain calm and cool for the sake of my children and skin (because stress equates to HUGE, gnarly cysts on my chin and they’re nasty AF). Did I mention they hurt more than novocaine-free root canals? Um, yeah. #NotBlessedWhenStressed

In keeping with my “keep cool” outlook on life during this trying time of doom-and-gloomdom, my style has been really low key. Think Stan Smith sneakers paired with distressed denim on repeat. I’ll add a dose of glam in the shape of a Chanel classic bag and yellow gold baubles by Miami-based jeweler, Jacqueline Pinto.

So while this may be the worst week of your life, try to stay positive. Share uplifting news. Eat that pint of Ben & Jerry’s Salted Caramel Core. Bake a from-the-box cake. Book that massage. Clean out your closet and donate the castaways to Goodwill. Sit under the toasty sun. Hug your kids/cat/dog/grandma. Guzzle Skittles. Watch YouTube videos dedicated to puppies. And if that doesn’t work, dress like someone’s about to post your outfit on Instagram. It will do surprising things for your soul. Swear.
