Dream Big or Go Home

The next time you hear from me, I’ll be somewhere truly exotic across the globe (22 hours away to be exact!). Since I’m freakishly superstitious, I can’t divulge details (I know, totes dick move), but suffice to say I’ll be checking off a bucket list item — a HUGE one, in fact.

I’m obviously traveling somewhere completely foreign, outlandish and far-removed. Before I get to the end of the proverbial rainbow, I’ll be making a pit stop in an over-the-top city featured in the Sex and the City movie. (Hint: Think skyscrapers and deserts for as far as the naked eye can see.)

Anyhoo, I’ve been manifesting sojourning to these teensy specks of land for over 10 years now. I’ve been feeling it in my bones. I’ve asked the Universe to somehow wondrously whisk me there. As in, poof!, you’re here. You’ve made it.

And then it happened when I least expected. As these things always tend to do.

My husband told me — out of the clear blue sky — he’s taking me there with two of our closest friends. When he broke the news, it felt as though Ashton Kutcher (wearing a stoopid trucker hat, obvi) was going to clamber out of one of our kitchen cabinets screaming, “You’ve been Punk’d!” Thank God he didn’t because I would’ve bitch slapped both my darling husband and the annoying actor for toying with my emotions.

So we’re off this week! I will most definitely post while there because I simply have to share this magical place with you freaks, too. Which leads me to the takeaway of this post: Dream with wild abandon. Beseech these sentiments in your soul — whether it’s about a place you want to visit, a job promotion, a novel idea, calming down, working out, a new career path, happiness, being present, adopting a new puppy, a bigger home, a simpler life, less chaos, better cooking skills, a softer living room couch…whatever!

Someone out there is listening and will take you there as long as you always project happiness, goodness, empathy and love. Pinky swear.
