I was torn over entitling this post “Serving You My Best She-Ra the Princess of Power,” but “goth” won just in case any young kids are reading this — because they’d probably have no clue as to who the flip I was talking about. As a child of the ’80s, I always associate any shape or form of headpiece to the sexy She-Ra — so whenever I wear mine, I stare at myself in the mirror and obsess over my frown lines and raise a pretend sword like a sociopath. It’s so empowering! You should try it, too — especially if you’re like me and still have imaginary friends and spazz out over the mere sight of Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake. And Smurfs. And Snorks. And Snoopy.

As for that dress, I discovered it on Studio LX‘s Instagram and it’s by Aussie-bassed designer Bless’ed Are The Meek. I’m obsessed with the lace inserts and subtle sequin details — and it’s the kind of dress that easily grooves from day to night. Total twofer in my book.
