Oh What A Night

{Hervé Léger dress, Christian Louboutin heels, Lauren Merkin clutch}

Oh yes, I went there. I went to my dear friends Eddie and Vivian Mena‘s wedding in every Miami gals’ go-to LBD: An Hervé Léger bandage dress. After wearing one for the first time (I know, I’m totes late on this inescapable trend), I totally get why these va-va-voom dresses are as common as Jeffrey Campbells on hipsters. Body con Hervés are super comfortable, slimming and SEXY. Emphasis on the “sexy” part, natch.

As I was saying, I wore this number to a wedding this past Saturday where I flirted with the most excitement I’ve had in a looong time. I often hear that weddings are as much fun as the couple getting married and this notion is invariably true. Eddie and Vivian are always the life of the party so it’s no small wonder my husband imbibed enough Patrón to kill a horse or that I danced for three consecutive hours. Oh, and did I mention we got home at 4:30 a.m.? It was one of those nights where you’re having far too much fun for the night to come to a daunting close. It was filled with love, amazing words from the brother-of-the-groom’s speech, passion, copious drinking, dancing and more dancing. My husband — who deservedly won MVP of the night — shook a tail feather for five hours straight. It’s Monday and homeboy’s feet still hurt.

So thank you for the once-in-a-blue-moon night, newly minted Menas. May your marriage be as fun and special as your whimsical wedding night.

    OMG so I think this is the first time I’m seeing your hubby! You’re working that dress. I’ve never worn Hervé though I went to the show last fashion week and can definitely see the appeal. I think for special occasions like a wedding etc it’s perf.

    xx
