Read This: Gone Girl

{Collins Bridge glasses, Sesame Street coloring book}

Don’t I look insta smartypants in my new Collins Bridge specs? Duh. Of course I do. Just slap on a pair of these geek chic Clifton-style glasses ($98) when you’re feeling low on creative flow and BOOM, you will look more acute and then BOOM BOOM, people will perceive you as genius and BOOM BOOM BOOM, you’ll feel clever again. Pinky swear.

Anyhoo, this post is about my latest read, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Since my last book post was on Fifty Shades of Grey, allow me to parlay a tome with the same can’t-put-me-down quality but one that’s actually well written. I don’t want to spoil the plot but let’s just say in this particular novel, marriage can be a real killer. Gone Girl is so suspenseful, I find myself devouring it like Publix vanilla birthday cake. Order it and thank me later, bibliophiles.

    I love your new glasses! They look great on you. Fifty shades was a non-stop read for me. I finished the trilogy in 4 days – only because I had to sleep – haha! I may have to check this one out, now.
