Back-to-School Shopping at Sawgrass Mills

Last Saturday, my 7-year-old son Yiani and I went shopping like it was nobody’s business at our fave South Florida-based outlet, Sawgrass Mills. Here’s what Yiani has to say about the back-to-school shopping experience: “Sure, I got a ton of shirts and school swag, but it’s the shiny new fidget spinner I got which excites me the most!”

Typical kid. Sheesh.

Right now, Sawgrass Mills has a few enticing situations going on: A back-to-school and tax-free weekend sale which runs Friday, August 4th through Sunday, August 6th.

In fact, Sawgrass Mills plans to kick off the holiday by giving $25 gift cards to the first 100 early morning shoppers on August 4th for even greater savings on top of the 6% tax savings on clothing, shoes, school supplies and computers. Can you says, A-MAY-ZUN?

Also worth noting? The one-stop shopping destination will also extend its hours of operation during the weekend holiday, giving parents, teachers and students more time to find everything they need in time for school — August 4th (9 a.m to 10 p.m.), Saturday, August 5th (9 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and Sunday, August 6th (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) to be exact.

There’s also a MAJOR freebie shopping component, too. Now through August 20, you could win a  SHOPPING SPREE. How? Take a picture of your Sawgrass haul and use the hashtags #MyBTSHaul and #giveaway on Instagram and Facebook for your chance to win a $1,500, $3,500 and $5,000 shopping spree.

So what did Yiani and I scoop up on Saturday? Seriously price slashes Polo shirts, a Kipling backpack and pencil case, shorts from Saks Off Fifth, a Gucci belt for moi, and of course… a fidget spinner. Because… kids these days.

This is a sponsored post with Sawgrass Mills. All opinions are my own.
