Sick Sandals and The Stankeye

Hi, freaks! I’m back in the MIA after a lovely week in my hometown of Cape May, NJ (where I easily packed on 4 pounds from Philly cheese steaks and fried flounder). But every carb and gram of grease was well worth it because the familia and I made lots of memories on the Jersey Shore. This pic was snapped on my mama’s front porch and I’m living for the serious stankeye Ava is giving the camera. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from parenting it’s this sage nugget: I can only control my own actions. After imploring Ava to smile for the camera, well, she wasn’t having it. And honestly, I think her act of defiance gives this otherwise vanilla family picture a major dose of hilarity.
