Mermaid Situation in the Maldives

Ah, the Maldives. After trekking halfway across the globe to the coast of Sri Lanka, I can honestly say this magical place of 26 atolls was well worth the wait. And the 365 Pilates sessions it took to look decent in a bikini. And the 13 novel swimsuit buys. And the 32 new tunic purchases, obvi. Seen from above, the Maldives look like amoebas floating in a sea of brazen blues. On the ground, this necklace of islands in the Indian Ocean defines perfection with its sand as soft as baby powder, coral reefs, colorful fish (even squid!) and wildlife (bats as big as dogs!) as far as the eye can see.

The hubby and two of our closest friends are staying at The W, which is cray, squared. Today we did a whole lotta nothing, which is  precisely what the doctor ordered.
