Hermes A Man's World

{This is my kind of conundrum. Duh.)

Wow, wow, WOW. Last week’s designer doings in Miami were next-level in every sense of the word. On Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending the de Grisogono jewelry store opening at swanky Bal Harbour Shops. During the intimate lunch at Makoto, I sat across from the brand’s Founder, Fawaz Gruosi, who is arguably the most creative jewelry designer of this time and enviously tanner than moi (the nerve!). Real-talk: Fawaz’s dreamy pieces — particularly a whimsical $500,000 blue sapphire and diamond cuff — resonated with the mermaid dwelling inside of me. Now if only I could scramble up that half a mil…

On Friday, after a David Beckham sighting (dear Lord he’s gorgeous but the tattoo sleeves are a bit much, Becks), I was off to the Hermès “A Man’s World” private party in the Design District. Let’s just say that this soiree was so fun, even the husband was impressed (see second photo for documentation, please) — which is a feat because he typically deplores the usual Miami chi chi von fancy parties. Men, I tell you.

For four sweet hours, The Moore Building was transformed into a adult funhouse of sorts. Between the free-flowing French champagne, Argentine artist Leandro Erlich‘s theatrical installations & mind-blowing illusions and gorgeous boys for as far as the eye could see (see third photo for documentation of pretty, half-nekkid blokes) — this was hand’s down THE BEST FASHION PARTY I’VE EVER BEEN TO. There, I said it.

Let’s just say, I’m happy it’s a man’s world and I’m a lady living it.

I seriously need to start renting a space in your purse so I can just travel with you everywhere you go. I would have proposed to that man to your left. You could have been a witness to something beautiful, I tell you! xoxo
