A Decadent Daily Grind

I always tell my husband, “Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my morning coffee,” and now that statement has changed to a resounding, “Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my Nespresso.”

Yes, the kind folks at Nespresso recently sent over their latest innovation, the revolutionary new VertuoLine system, which brews both an American style large-cup coffee topped with a silky and generous crema (see my pic above) as well as an authentic espresso all at the touch of a button. I know, brilliant!

While the VertuoLine boasts a bold range of flavor selections — Stormio (rich and strong), Odacio (bold nd lively), Melozio (smooth and balanced) and Elvazio (delicate and fruity) — I’m partial to Stormio because it wakes me right up and tastes delish when paired with my favorite crème brulée coffee creamer.

I was also asked to explore what I consider “Spring entertaining in style,” and I have to say my idea of the perfect social gathering would start off  by inviting friends over for a pool day. This would be followed by an Argentine BBQ (grilled by my husband) followed by more dips in the pool. And when everyone’s burnt out from the sun and steaks…I’d whip up a batch of Nespresso espressos to perk them back up!
